Welcome to our church website.

We are an Anglican Church in Derby, and our parish embraces the rich mix of faith, ethnicity and culture that is Normanton; a vibrant inner city part of the city.

We all know that life is difficult, and at time we can all feel lonely, broken and vulnerable. We have found the good news that God is:

“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows.
He sets the lonely in families and leads out the prisoners with singing”.
(Psalm 68:5-6 TNIV)

If this is what God is like, then as his family we want to be the same. So our vision is that at St. Augustine’s:

• everyone can know God as their loving Heavenly Father
• the vulnerable and widows are defended and looked after
• the lonely can belong and be part of God’s family
• everyone can grow in freedom to become who he created them to be.

We are excited that God is fulfilling this vision among us.
